Once your calculator is published, you can share it as a hosted public link or as an embed link for your own website. This article covers the two link types and how to generate them.
Open the Share dialog
You can share a project that has been published at least once. The Share button (the share icon) in the editor's top navigation bar — and the share action on a project card on your home screen — stays disabled until the project is live.
Click it to open the Share your project dialog.
Choose a link type
The dialog offers two Share link types:
- General — a public shareable link. This is the hosted version of your calculator that you can paste anywhere: an email, a chat message, a social post. It opens full-page on Numio's domain.
- Embed — an iframe link intended to be dropped into your own website. The embed version renders with a transparent background so it blends into the surrounding page. See Embed on your website for the iframe snippet and container setup.
Pick the type that matches how you intend to distribute the calculator. The two links point at different routes, so use the Embed link inside an iframe and the General link everywhere else.
Generate and copy the link
- Select General or Embed.
- (Optional) Give the link a name — see below.
- Click Generate.
- Copy the result:
- For a General link, click Copy link.
- For an Embed link, click Copy embed code to copy the full iframe snippet, or Copy embed link to copy just the URL.
Naming a link (Professional)
The Name your link field lets you label a link — for example "Marketing Touchpoint" — so you can track responses from that specific link separately in analytics.
Naming a link is a Professional plan feature. On lower plans the field is disabled and shows an upgrade prompt; you can still generate an unnamed General or Embed link. For full details on named links and their per-link response counts, see Named / tracking links.
If you leave the name blank, Numio generates the standard link for the type you selected — no slug, just the project's default share or embed URL.
