Privacy policy

Effective date: June 23, 2026 · Last updated: June 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Numio, LLC ("Numio," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use the Numio platform, websites, and related services (the "Service"). It applies both to people who hold a Numio account and to the data that account holders collect from their own visitors through projects they build with Numio.

1. Our two roles

As a controller. For the data of our account holders — the people and organizations who sign up for Numio — we decide how and why that data is processed, and this policy governs it.

As a processor.When you publish a project, it may collect submissions from your visitors, such as lead-form entries, inputs, and other responses ("Customer Data"). For Customer Data, the account holder is the controller and Numio acts as a processor on their behalf. If you are a visitor who submitted information through a Numio-powered calculator, please contact the business that operates it; this policy describes Numio's role, but that business's own privacy notice governs how they use your data.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information — name, email address, password, and optional details such as company name and workspace settings.
  • Billing information — plan, subscription status, and billing contact. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full payment-card numbers.
  • Content you create — the spreadsheets, formulas, projects, media, and settings you upload or build.
  • Customer Data — responses and lead-form submissions collected by your published projects, processed on your behalf.
  • Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser and device type, and interactions with the Service, collected to operate and secure it.
  • Communications — messages you send us for support or sales, and your preferences.

3. How we use information

  • to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
  • to process payments and manage subscriptions and seats;
  • to provide support and respond to your requests;
  • to send service and, where permitted, marketing communications (you can opt out of marketing);
  • to monitor for abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
  • to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand aggregate usage. We use privacy-focused analytics (such as Vercel Analytics) to measure performance and traffic. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers (sub-processors) — vendors that help us run the Service, such as cloud hosting and infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. A current list of sub-processors is available on request: [LIST OF CURRENT SUB-PROCESSORS].
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Numio, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Data retention

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention is required by law. Customer Data is retained according to your settings and instructions as the controller. Export anything you wish to keep before closing your account.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing — for example under the GDPR or the CCPA. Account holders can manage much of their data directly in the Service; to make a request otherwise, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If you are a visitor exercising rights over Customer Data, please contact the business that operates the calculator; we will assist them as their processor.

9. International data transfers

We may process and store data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal data.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where required.
